HAWNAY TROOF PREMIERES NEW VIDEO FOR "EVERYTHING IS", LOVES CATS

Hawnay Troof's tour brought him around the world and back. Somehow between that, directing music videos for his band XBXRX and friends Deerhoof, drumming for the Raincoats and Chicks On Speed, he self-directed his new video for "Everything Is" off his new album Daggers At The Moon. The song featuring vocals by Jenny Hoyston of Erase Errata and was shot while moving out of his Berkeley house during one of his four days off. The video includes an all cat backup band wearing outfits designed by artist Ari Fish, who also stars in it. Influences run everywhere between Bob Dylan and Keyboard Cat, but make of it what you will.

Hawnay Troof is currently touring in New Zealand and Australia:
03/03 Wellington, NZ @ Mighty Mighty
03/04 Christchurch, NZ @ Goodbye Blue Monday
03/05 Aukland, NZ @ Kings Arms
03/06 Brisbane, OZ @ Lost Weekend Brisbane Riverstage w/ Deerhoof, Dirty Projectors
03/10 Melbourne, OZ @ Northcote Social Club w/ Simo Soo, Yuka Disco Beats & KT Spit

FAN MADE 'THE WALKING DEAD' VIDEO

OH MAN, THIS HAS ME SO PUMPED FOR THE REAL UPCOMING SHOW!!

TRUNK BOMB TODAY!!!!

Like any good villain, I do the "surprise attack while spreading my manifesto from a foreign land" thing quite well. So well in fact, that I just came by to let you know that I have a little som'n-som'n for you to check for over at my "virtual pop-up store" known as GET CREV to the greater crev-wave populace out there. Check it out and if you like it, BUY IT so I can make the "real" version in some mid-level sized studio filled to the brim with boutique analog equipment and bring my trusty engineer along. Who knows, we may even be able to press real physical copies in more than one format and put them in a real store! We may even be able to afford a promo budget! OH SNAP!!!! While you think that one over, I gotcha back with a free exclusive download.
(if you liked hip-hop of some type within the last 15 years, then this is for you.)

WE COLLECT ENEMIES and you should too

Do I really have to ask who here is reading the SIEGE story line going on in Marvel Comics™ as we speak?!? How good is Secret Warriors? I also gotta give it up for Zodiac, it's probably the most slept-on series of last year.....
Man, do I hate code and computers. I wrote a long and eloquent blog about my good friend and fellow ex-pat DJ Wool's new label with Andrew Phillpott and Daryl Bamonte (google, my friend. google.) called WE COLLECT ENEMIES, along with all kinds of pertinent and relatable information regarding their new artists Das Shadow (no relation whatsoever to Das Racist) and Broad Bean Band, ALONG WITH information regarding when their first releases are scheduled to drop (early march) but the computer put a dick on my forehead again and did something that I cannot explain. This something caused me to lose all of the valuable information that I had to bestow upon you, leaving me so beside myself with anger that the only thing left for me to do is to show you this teaser for a Das Shadow video that is dropping with the single. On march 8th.

And since I never want to leave you wanting, (apparently, DJ Wool feels the same way) here is a WCE (as they will heretofore be known) mix on soundcloud showcasing some of the tidbits that they have on deck for you humans.

As you can see, when the English and Irish work together, only good can come of it... In other news, I have to apologize for my lack of posts on here as of late. A nuke just went off in the hip-hop world and we are saving territories and such. Check out my ego and id at work on my vanity blog and also watch how I celebrate having no life on twitter...
