It was one of those special weeks when something just pops in front of you and it’s suddenly your new favorite thing in the world. this is BUSCABULLA for me. I’d never heard of her until I got a random press release and BAM she blew me away. Then as I started digging the story kept unfolding before for to become one of my favorite crushes in a while.

The release gives the basic background:

“Buscabulla (Spanish slang for troublemaker) is the musical project of Brooklyn based Puerto Rican designer Raquel Berrios and multi-instrumentalist Luis Alfredo Del Valle. Heavily influenced by vintage Latin music like salsa gorda, Cuban psych and 80s Argentinian rock, the duo combines Caribbean sensibilities with baby making music.”

But to me it was so much more than that. The description only does it part justice, because the magic is in the feeling the music takes you. It’s a beautiful dream, a land I want to live in and place I want to fall in love. I’m def not the only one that felt the immediate magic. The debut EP is coming out on Kitsune with production by Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), a stunning combo.

An EP just isn’t enough, I want more now!  I don’t think I’ll get that wish, but at least you can find out some for yourself with the videos below. The EP is out 10/6!
