Crush of the Week: The Buttertones

You ever wanna be as cool as someone in a Quentin Tarantino movie? Listen to The Buttertones and tell me you don’t feel like a sexy badass with a bad attitude in a timeless suit. I mean, talk about giving me goosebumps and chills. You tell me if that’s a pencil in my pocket I’ve ordered with my coffee and pie.

Not the kind of band I’d bring home and introduce to mom, these guys still strike certain chords of my crushing fantasies. You know that scene in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me when the two girls go into the Pink Room at the Bang Bang Bar and get super sleazy? THEY SHOULD BE THAT BAND.

Hailing from Southern California and on the precipice of releasing their next full length Gravedigging, The Buttertones are everything you want them to be and more with the garage and surf rock vibes balancing both the past and present that’s nothing short of a gooey mess. Maybe your new fantasy too? Lemme know.
