My favorite emerging artist from last year by far is the beautiful and strange FKA Twigs.  Her breathtaking video for Water Me sounded and felt unlike anything I have ever seen, a sensory experience that was both extremely pleasurable and uncomfortable at the same time. I definitely wasn’t the only one taken by the video, it made a big splash (read the Fader think piece titled How FKA Twigs is Pushing Female Sexuality Beyond Miley Cyrus and Sinead).

Her latest video is a collaboration with LA-based dark horses Inc., simply titled FKA x inc. The music, is a sparse haunting amorphous love song, and the video, which twigs co-directed with Nick Walker is predictably mesmerizing. Shot in the desert inside a cloud of weed smoke, it features gentle black and white shots of the British goddess and the bizarre looking boys of Inc.  Supposedly this is a one off single, but I am definitely hoping for more from this collaboration.
