IHEARTCOMIX seeks Marketing & Sales Director

Title: Head of Marketing & Sales

Hours: Average 40-50/week, Monday – Friday, but there should be expectations of ‘as needed’, which will require nights and weekends occasionally to meet deadlines or to produce projects.

Position summary:

IHEARTCOMIX is seeking a Head of Marketing & Sales with a love for music and geek culture, inventive spunk and an eye for design. This person will oversee client accounts, develop existing and new sales relationships and lead all marketing initiatives (both internal and external projects). This individual needs to be able to come to the table with savvy ideas and a creative spirit, yet be able to translate those into a business minded sensibility with passionate follow through. They should have a strong interest in breaking molds and challenging established institutions. Candidate will need to be able to lead a team with confidence and handle his/her own within ongoing projects.

This person will undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to: Marketing & Digital Strategy, Sales, Designing Client Pitches and Concept Decks, Creative Brainstorming, Maintaining Client Relationships, Event/Release Promotion and Team Management.

Requires strong computer skills, social media know-how, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, creative thinking, great design taste and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and artists. Sensitivity to confidential matters is required.

Highly competitive personality encouraged.

Core tasks:

  • Development of marketing strategies in relation to creative, digital, and social projects
  • Participate in and research RFPs for new clients or projects
  • Pitch deck layout and design
  • Write clear, persuasive, original copy for pitch decks
  • Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming client communications, especially email communications
  • Coordinate and monitor projects with staff and external clients
  • Oversee sales and ensure monthly goals are met

Additional tasks:

  • Provide support for IHC internal creative projects: record label, playlists, podcast, TV/Film pitches, special projects, etc

Ideal Candidate will Possess:

  • Creative thinking
  • Experience in Sales Strategy Development and Marketing
  • Experience in music, film or entertainment preferred
  • Experience running paid social media strategies
  • Experience communicating with and managing high level clients
  • Relationships with brands, agencies, and clients across all verticals
  • Experience working within a budget
  • Discretion with confidential information
  • Initiative and adaptability in fast paced environment
  • Passion for music, entertainment (film, TV, gaming, etc), pop culture, and a familiarity with IHC projects and background
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Information gathering and monitoring skills
  • Judgment and decision-making ability

  • Google Slides + all programs (Docs, Sheets, Cal, etc)
