If you joined us for this weekend’s party, you probably spent your entire Sunday catching up on some much needed sleep. We’re fully rested, fully re-charged, with a nice mocha in-hand, ready to bring you the full rundown from Saturday night. We were definitely bummed when the night had finally come to an end, but we are here to relive its finest moments.
And indeed, lit it was…
Pennywild started off the evening warming the crowd up with a variety set which included everything from classic hiphop tracks, to some fresh Jersey club and future beat tracks; and a small selection of killer garage tracks. Iamsodapop was planned to be up next, but he slept on his set; literally. Allegedly, after a quick pit stop at In N’ Out, he took a nap before the show and slept through his alarm. We still love him though, and he came through later to join the party. In the meantime, Penny kept the crowd dancing while Groundislava set up his gear before jumping on deck.
Groundislava played a stacked set full of unreleased remixes and I wish I had a track ID for every song from that set list. Hopefully it included some new unreleased Groundislava productions in the works..? We can only hope because it all sounded phenomenal. After Groundislava, C.Z. rolled up to jump on the 1s and 2s. Once Colby had arrived, it was practically a WeDidIt b2b set that was full of the best trap tracks of 2016. It was nice and cool outside, but the crowd made sure to pack inside to go absolutely wild.
Towards the end of the evening, Waldo (Dave Haycock) arrived to keep the party going with a fresh new spin and an added variety of tracks. Jeremy Burke stopped by after the Loud Village comedy show to close out the night with the perfect vibe. It was crazy, but there were quite a few people who had been dancing there the entire night before the clock struck 5:30 and it was time to head home. We had an absolute blast, see you at the next one!
