Meet Eddie Ruscha, Jr., the man behind Secret Circuit, whose intricate music stylings on previous releases such as last year’s Tropical Psychadelics have astounded audiences. The name Tropical Psychedelics can really be applied to all of his music as each release has that electronic-trippy beach feel that Ruscha inevitably sought when coming up with the title.
His latest album, Tactile Galactics, is nothing short of amazing with its airy electronica grooves like Escargot. Mixing in tracks that hit a bit harder on the dance floor such as Rogue Unit, the album is extremely diverse but stays true to itself in the psychadelic ebb and flows that characterize Secret Circuit. It’s a wonder that Secret Circuit has never played the ‘Do Lab’ stage at Coachella where people dance without inhibition side by side with fire dancers and tripped out ravers.
August 20 at the Echoplex, Secret Circuit takes the reins in support of Brooklyn disco group, Escort, L.A. based Pharaohs with Nightbox opening. Get ready for a surreal night of tropical psychedelics and disco in the next installment of Check Yo Ponytail 2.
