The spirit of disco is something to hold dear and this only experienced through a live performance. Check Yo Ponytail 2 this past Tuesday was a spectacular show that offered up psychedelic techno to 70’s disco. Escort, the 17-piece disco orchestra from Brooklyn, worked their magic on the CYP2 audience and had the dance floor grooving all night completely mesmerized by the lead vocalist Adeline Michèle! L.A.’s own Pharaohs put on a great set as their dueling synths and masterful congos blazed through the Echoplex. Secret Circuit’s Eddie Ruscha took us to places unknown with his searing psychedelic sounds. The Irish/Canadian 4 piece Nightbox kicked the night off with their silky vocals and funky jams.
