Tuesday, we celebrated the Check Yo Ponytail 2 Three Year Anniversary in a BIG way! We brought out all the stops for this show, booking some of our CYP2 favorites alongside some impressive rising L.A. talent. We started the night with some raging industrial from locals Youth Code as they rocked their CYP2 debut with a kickass set that took no prisoners. Next up was Cool Kid’s Chuck Inglish who came blazing out of the gate dropping dope flows from the mic as the crowd vibed on his lavish lyrics. Paying tribute to our CYP2 roots, our first surprise guests were none other than Spank and Blank (Spank Rock and Amanda Blank), who had the crowd rowdy by the time our headliner Andrew W.K. hit the stage. The Party King lived up to his name as he and his dancing cohort had a clear and resounding message, Party Hard! Crystal Castles vocalist, Alice Glass brought her raw and infectious energy to the stage however there were some growing pains as DJing was clearly not her forte. She was able to balance her performance with her infamous crowd invasion allowing her rabbid fans to get their fix.
