As SXSW draws nearer we’ll be highlighting artists performing at Austin Party Weekend who we think are rising stars in the music world. Our first SXSW spotlight features Danish diva, Karen Marie Ørsted, aka MØ, who will be releasing her debut album No Mythologies To Follow on March 10th through Chess Club/RCA Victor just in time to share with SXSW! Most will recognize her sweet sounds from her featured vocals on Swedish producer Avicii’s song Dear Boy, but she’s gaining steam with her sensational new singles Say You’ll Be There and Don’t Wanna Dance. 
When her new album drops next week expect a lush, warm and soulful production, however MØ brings a cool Scandinavian street vibe edge to the songs making for a sonic juxtaposition. Collaborating with Mad Decent main man Diplo on XXX 88 cemented her as a true talent to watch in 2014. We’re extremely excited to have her performing at the Mad Decent showcase on March 13th at Empire Garage and Control Room at 11:30pm.
