Tuesday, Check Yo Ponytail 2 was back in full swing after an awesome SXSW Showcase for Austin Party Weekend. We were stoked to bring our bud Cashmere Cat to L.A. after seeing him tear it down for SXSW and what could be more welcoming than a sold out Echoplex. Franki Chan kicked things off as Master of Ceremonies with a carefully curated DJ set serving up some of his latest influences and new favorites. It wasn’t long before Brooklyn’s Obey City took to the stage dropping hot new tracks from his Merlot album to debut later this year. Next up, Trippy Turtle layed down a sexy set of slow groove R&B and hip-hop making all the baes sway. The long awaited Cashmere Cat pounced on stage without delay, offering heartfelt heaters from his latest Wedding Bells EP! Things took on a late night vibe at the Los Globos afterparty as Queenleaf, C.Z., and Swizzy Mack joined the fun. Take a look at the photos from the night taken by Michael Melwani.
