Computer Magic, aka Danielle “Danz” Johnson, is said to have fallen into music but it certainly doesn’t tell as she has crafted her entire collection by ear. A combination of live synths and a launch pad cues, her Sci-Fi sounds draw heavily on characters from movies, video games, and television. Her latest EP Extra Stuff is certainly a fine representation of her unique style and direction!
Extra Stuff is eight-tracks of futuristic pop that will time warp you back to the 70s for a surreal and fantastic voyage. Danz spends extensive time in the studio creating the world of her sound as well as the characters who live there. She notes, “I try to write songs from point of views from charactesr in movies and books and stuff.” Stream the Extra Stuff EP below and pick it up on cassette or 12″ vinyl before they’re gone.
