Last Thursday, XXYYXX, Jessy Lanza, and Saint Pepsi put on a marvelous performance for a sold out Echoplex! The vibes were alive early as the line extended down the block and soon the anxious fans filled the venue with high expectations. There nerves were soon settled by soothing spins from Cooper Saver before and between each set. Saint Pepsi performed first, playing his latest tunes from his most recent EP Gin City to the delight of the now engaged audience. Jessy Lanza put on a spectacular performance singing soulful songs that had the feels flowing as lighters and iPhones swayed to the melody. Finally XXYYXX emerged onto the dimly lit stage and immediately brought the bass. Serving up some newer experimental tracks along with his classic stalwarts, he had the audience on strings pulling and pushing them with every downbeat and synth line.
