Los Angeles power trio, Zig Zags are set to release their self-titled debut LP on June 16th via In The Red Records. The new record was produced in collabration with Ty Segall at his Sweat Lodge studio. Zig Zag’s Guitarist Jed, bassist Patrick, and drummer Bobby started in a room lit by a single green light, which changed them from humans to Zig Zags in the summer of 2009. Only five years later, they’d record a song with Iggy Pop, collaborate with Segall, and go from playing house parties for pizza to staring off the stage at the Fillmore West. Today, the band premiered their new music video for So Stoned off their Brainded Warrior 7″ single via Noisey plus an interview with the guys. The video is three minutes of raw lo-fi 90’s nostalgia including midget wrestling, misfired guns, drunk assholes, and more than few spills to make you cringe. No need to try to improve the quality on this video, just press play and rock out! Zig Zags will be playing alongside Bleached at the Echoplex on June 27th so pick up tickets for the show below.
