We’re very proud to announce Friday, August 22nd IHC Presents: The Stepkids, Bago, MNDSGN, and Folerio (DJ Set) at Los Globos! Guitarist/vocalist Jeff Gitelman, bassist/keyboardist/vocalist Dan Edinberg and drummer/vocalist Tim Walsh united in 2009 after playing in several projects as sidemen. The union was an effort to reignite the creative and artist fire and what resulted was smooth blend of classic jazz, R&B, funk, and 70s pop rock to create a uniquely personal brand of modern psychedelic soul known as The Stepkids. The trio released their second full length album Troubador on Stone’s Throw Records last year to a whirlwind of acclaim. Speaking on the band’s evolution Gitelman notes, “We’re trying to expand the brand and do more psychedelic stuff, but also more of the revealing, conventional type of performances.” He’ll be joined by sexy R&B songstress Bago who released her debut album Sunday’s Best last year and recently collaborated with Alexander Spit for some sweet new singles. Stone’s Throw’s newest edition MNDSGN will also be in the mix serving up his new slow groove single Txt off his upcoming album Yawn Zen out August 26th! Kicking things off will be the eccentric yet legendary, DJ Folerio so you won’t want to miss his always interesting set.
