First and foremost we’d like to wish L.A. native and recent Team Supreme inductee, AWE a very Happy Birthday! The now 20 year old producer has quickly earned a name for himself after releasing his debut EP Eagle Soul last year on Plastician‘s label Terrorhythm, and catapulted himself into the spotlight after this year’s hit single Crystals, thats garnered hundred of thousands of likes on Soundcloud. Creating a beautiful symphony of soaring synthesizers, trap percussion and eloquent composition, AWE continues to impress and has the passion, drive, and determination to sustain himself in L.A.’s competitive but supportive music scene. Today he’s blessed us with four more blazing bootlegs in honor of his Birthday Celebration, each showing variety and range from the growing producer. This morning we were privy to his retro blaster Buy U A Drink (AWE’s Marty McFly Bootleg), and he’s been releasing them hourly giving us time to digest and discover.
The second drop, Trilingual Dance Sexperience, sounds like you might have just walked into a sci-fi swinger party and tossed you spaceship keys in the bowl. Booming bass highlighted by progressive chords gives grimy goodness to this heavy hitting bootleg.
His third bootleg, Raw Cartoons 2, borderlines experimental melding house progressions, trap samples, and pulsing low end to keep it interesting. Working without boundaries, AWE ventures into the depths of beat making possibility to craft his unique sound.
Finally, Clickk Em offers ambient vibes laced with pulsing percussion and distorted vocal loops to cap of his Birthday bootlegs.
