This past February, we said farewell to Vivian Girls, and if you’re like us, it wasn’t easy to say goodbye. But thankfully the girls are still out making noise with other projects. Today Cassie Ramone, ex-Vivian Girls guitarist and singer, announced her debut solo record, The Time Has Come, from the San Francisco label Loglady. All songs were recorded by her in various New York and Los Angeles apartments and many tracks feature the one and only Ariel Pink on bass.
Cassie released the first single Hangin On from the album along with the the announcement of her new LP. Hangin On is a change from the normal fast paced and in-your-face garage rock we have become accustom to hearing from Vivian Girls and The Babies. Cassie sings of love and loss in this short and sweet track that serves as a great preview of whats to come from her in the future.
