We are very happy to hear to new music from one of our favorite L.A. beat babes, TOKiMONSTA, as she prepares the finishing touches on her upcoming mini album Desiderium, which will be the first record to be released by her new label, Young Art. The new single Realla featuring Anderson Paak premiered yesterday to rave reviews and it’s easy to see why.
A sweet serenade of subtle synths and soft high hats let Paak’s lyrics shine through while the mellow melodies washes over you. A sexy late night jam, TOKiMONSTA has found the allusive middle ground of using minimal effects while highlighting the beautiful instrumentation that already exists. This isn’t the only new news from TOKi, as she’s also announced her Desiderium Tour starting this September which will take her from the West coast to the East coast with L.A. being her first show.
