Los Angeles’ new wave disco group Yacht have released their first single Where Does This Disco? on their new imprint Downtown Records. The new track is also the name of their upcoming North American Tour that commences this weekend at Portland’s XOXO Festival. The funky new track features wonky synths and incorrigible electro percussion that is absolutely infectious and may cause spontoneous dance moves. Yacht notes, ” Where Does This Disco? is about love and compact discs. They’re both on the edge of becoming obsolete, and they both get scratched if you play them too hard. They’re both mirrors, but one is still the best medium we have for connecting with each other.” Jerome LOL has also added a masterful rework of the song, that give it those lovely progressive house vibes with a bit of vocal reconstruction.
