Chiptune rockers Anamanaguchi have done it again! Their obsession with all thing’s 80s, including their NES inspired sounds, have culminated with this towering tribute to Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. This 8-bit flip has taken this 80’s classic into the digital domain giving a new generation the opportunity to learn from it’s valuable life lessons about entertaining women while paying homage to one of music’s female pioneers. This year will commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Lauper’s She’s So Unusual, and what better way to remember than releasing a remix rendition featuring Anamanaguchi, Yolanda Be Cool and Nervo to name a few. The remix album will be released October 14th, so if you’re a child of the 80’s like me, be sure to add this to your essentials collection.
