New York City’s Maggie Horn has just released the first EP from her new solo project entitled Never/Know out now! Known best as the frontwoman for her Fool’s Gold Records collaboration with Sammy Bananas, Telephoned, Maggie is making the most of her first solo effort with some sexy new songs and strong self belief. Her three track EP is a focused and formidable testament to her natural talent and innovative songwriting. Produced by her Fools Gold project Telephoned, it’s clear she’s made very specific choices about the sound and direction she wants to explore. The first track Never Tell Me No sets the tone with some subdued percussion infused with some drippy effects and a catchy chorus making it the lead single for good reason. The second track Line is a bit more emotive with longing lyrics and darker vibes but the final track KAL brings a more uplifting and almost electro pop feel to the EP. Slow progressive synths and a message of love leave us with a strong sense of Maggie Horn’s inspiration and thirsty for more.
