Are you a male or female over the jailbait age who’s in the market for a stay-at-home boyfriend? Are you tired of your ball-and-chain walking out on you, staying out till dawn, living their life like you didn’t have plans to binge watch King of the Hill later? You need someone who’ll stay in with you, but will also occasionally stare blankly and ominously out of the windows in your Body Heat-esque apartment?

Well then look no further than Juiceboxxx, who is currently suffering from a case of semi-attractive rabid agoraphobia according to his recently released “Like a Maniac” video (which just premiered on Entertainment Weekly, high-five).

For the past decade or so, Juiceboxxx has been the master of his own bizarro, alt pop universe where the music fluctuates between rap, dance music, punk, and postmodernism. Everything in that world is vividly psychedelic and mysteriously sweaty … even when it’s cold outside.  This has earned him a certain amount of underground infamy.

His latest single, “Like a Maniac,” is, as Entertainment Weekly describes it, “electro-damaged punk that sounds like what would have happened if a New Wave-era Iggy Pop had still been as totally unhinged as Stooges-era Iggy.”

In the video, Juiceboxxx inhabits a suburban living room, and seems confined there as he dances like he’s on bath salts and breaks stuff, multiple times, because no one’s there to punish him and set boundaries. It’s funny and freaky and in it, he looks slightly like Morrissey, but we’re also half blind so take that lightly.
