Everyone’s favorite wholesome neighborhood gathering where absolutely no one is ratchet and everyone is calm is BACK and better than ever!

Diplo’s Mad Decent Block Party is now in its eighth year, and it sure has come a long way from its quaint beginnings in Philadelphia.

The event started out as an actual block party outside a mausoleum factory in 2008, which Mad Decent promptly took over as their world headquarters shortly thereafter. Flash forward a few years, and Diplo’s once-humble block party has now become the go-to destination for festival-goers all over North America. With 22 stops across the US and Canada and a diverse line-up that changes from city to city, no two Block Party experiences are the same … and this year, it’s bigger than ever.

That being said, it wouldn’t be a Mad Decent Block Party without some crazy shit going down, and man, has some crazy shit gone down.

Here’s a little recap of the craziest of crazy stuff to happen at The Block Party over the last eight years.

Because Diplo wouldn’t want it any other way.

1. That one time that Amish guy crowd surfed at the Mad Decent Block Party in 2012.

2. Diplo in a giant bubble walking over the crowd on top of people’s heads.

3. When Kim from Matt & Kim asked this guy to get naked and he politely obliged…

4. When the turn-up gods Flosstradamus and Waka Flocka Flame turned the crowd into a mosh pit at the Berkeley Block Party in 2014

5. When Dillon Francis showed up to MDBP LA in 2013 as his German alter ego “DJ Hanzel” and played a deep house set

And for those of you not familiar with the famous DJ Hanzel …

6. And that other time Dillon Francis brought out Instagram-favorite/ internet least-favorite The Fat Jew out to perform at MDBP Williamsburg in 2013

7. At MDBP Brooklyn 2015 when Diplo and Skrillex (aka Jack Ü) brought out an absolutely stacked group of guest appearances with Vic Mensa, Silento, Kiesza, and K-Pop superstar CL taking things to a whole ‘nother level for what Diplo called the “best Jack Ü show ever.”

8. And of course, what Block Party would be complete without some of that signature bubble butt?
