For over three years IHEARTCOMIX has collaborated with Sundance on various projects in LA and Park City
NEXT Fest was Sundance’s Los Angeles based film and music festival that happened for three days annually at The Ace Hotel Theatre. Each year featured world premiere films chosen out of the Park City selections from that year, paired with musical performance, panels, one-on-one chats and music video premieres.
For four years, IHEARTCOMIX collaborated with Sundance to produce NEXT Fest overseeing all aspects of the musical component of the festival. From talent booking to production to local marketing and national PR, IHC was an essential piece to NEXT’s success. Past bookings have included Sky Ferreria, Warpaint, Neon Indian, Father John Misty, Toro Y Moi, Sharon Von Etten, Shamir, Big Freedia, Sleigh Bells, Lizzo, Electric Guest and more.

In 2016 Sundance created Base Camp for the first time, a public outdoor music and panel stage installation built in the middle of Park City, Utah. This venue had a 500 person capacity and was open all 9 days of the film festival. It became a living and breathing essential piece of the program.
IHC was tapped to curate the music portion of the stage as well as help out with general production, marketing and PR. Highlights include four nights directly hosted by IHC including performances from Flying Lotus, Neon Indian, Ho99o9, Dan Deacon, Miya Folick and more.
