2016 was undoubtedly a good year for music, but I wholeheartedly think 2017 is going to be even better. All the greats put out albums last year, but all my actual favorites are releasing music this year. Plus, we’re already getting off to a really great start! I’m not exaggerating when I say that all the tracks I’ve hand picked for you this week are already esteemed members of my permanent library.  

We’ve got some real heavy hitters this time around with tracks from the “Beatles of our generation”, Migos, to the angel on Earth himself, Sampha. We’ve also got not one, but two, “match made in heaven” collaborations by Bonobo & Nick Murphy (FKA Chet Faker) and Ariel Pink & Weyes Blood. If you were within a 20 feet radius from me this week, you already hate these fantastic new songs from Mesita and BANANA because I’ve pretty much exclusively listened to them on repeat. Nine Inch Nails is also back with a track that ~fun fact~ Dave Navarro played guitar on lol. Finally, we’ve got The Flaming Lips‘ newest song that is getting us so damn excited for their Oczy Mlody album release party that we’re producing on Thursday. It’s going to be fucking magical.
