As the IHC team prepares to head on down to Austin, Texas for a lil ol’ festival by the name of SXSW, I’ve had little time to sleep, and even less time to scour the interwebs for videos. Luckily, a bunch of my favorite bands released quality visuals this week, so they made my job easy for me! YAY!

This episode of Videos of the Week features a video from one of my newest favorites, She-Devils, which is definitely spitting some major Blue Velvet vibes. (It’s probably my favorite David Lynch film, so it’s no surprise that I’ve already watched it about 20 times.) HMLTD wins the award for best video this week for combining not one, not two, but three of my favorite things in their latest video – glam rock, sci-fi, and spaghetti westerns. Longtime IHC favorites The xx, Future Islands, and Ariel Pink x Weyes Blood also graced us with some juicy videos this week. Finally, if you just so happen to be a baby who loves death metal, there’s something in here for you too! Alright, I’m out folks. Make sure to say hello if you see me at SXSW on the VICELAND bus and I promise to use all the amazing Texan phrases I’ve been learning in preparation for my first real time partying in Austin.
