For the past couple of months, IHEARTCOMIX has been collaborating with Marvel Studios, Ghetto Gastro, and A-OK Collective to cook up something really special for Black Panther. Today, we are so proud to finally share the entirety of the Taste of Wakanda: our video series documenting Ghetto Gastro’s process in bringing the cuisine from the fictional nation in Black Panther to life.
Through a series of four videos that went live on Marvel and Black Panther’s socials, fans discovered the various influences Ghetto Gastro pulled together to create incredible meals such as T’Cabbage Tacos made of lamb and coriander, a delectable tart made of chocolate and cricket flour, and much more.
Their efforts were showcased at a special Black Panther themed event during New York Fashion Week where director Ryan Coogler, cast members Michael B. Jordan, Letitia Wright and Black Panther himself: Chadwick Boseman got to feast on these Wakandan flavors.
