Axela, the latest single from Robert Raimon Roy’s recently released, Le Tigre Blanc, sees the Jacksonville performer departing from his often enthusiastic lyrical flow. In lieu of hype, Roy choses to shed his tough guy layer for a more stripped down, heart wrenching falsetto croon; which may actually be one of his strongest attributes. Musically, the track veers in and out of empty space, taking time to highlight Roy’s soulful highs while providing warm low end support. With his ever present suit and tie, Robert Raimon Roy very ambitiously succeeds in making, Axela, feel as solemn as it is conceptually presented.
