Native New Englander Nick Zanca, aka Mister Lies, started producing songs in his dorm room as a result of insomnia and is now sharing his sound with the world. After touring Europe and now Canada and the U.S. with OFF/CNTR headliner Giraffage, they are set to play Los Angeles this Saturday. Drawing on him in his past, Mister Lies has found his niche in nocturnal ambient sounds combined with haunting vocal samples.

Mister Lies first full length album MOWGLI was released earlier this year and was produced while Zanca was camped out in a lake cabin in Vermont armed with synthesizers, samplers, microphones, and a Rudyard Kipling collection of stories. Drawing on his past, Mister Lies has found his niche in nocturnal ambient sounds combined with haunting vocal samples. His latest track Magichour featuring Knower is a fine example of the slow building beats set to pop vocals with darker undertones.
