In 2012, we were introduced to the unique beats and soulful sounds of SBTRKT, and now fresh off the new year they drop their, Live LP, with audience infused performances that bring new light to already solid tracks. Aaron Jerome and fellow collaborator, Sampha, perform an awe inspiring set at Sheperds Bush Empire in London, with a few selections featuring the Heritage Orchestra. The SBTRKT Live LP reinvigorates fans with subtle renditions of tracks from their self titled album and the audience becomes an instrument unto themselves. Strong supporters of SBTRKT will certainly make this album an essential for 2013.
In addition to the live LP, Young Turks Records also released a live recording of the, Hold On / Migration, medley that has fans feening for the live performance. This video gives a sneak peek of the intricate setup of Jerome and Sampha’s singing displays a level of confidence and comfort that makes the video seem like an intimate lounge performance.
