A young Christian’s Slater portrays a quiet and shy student by day and pirate radio DJ by night. His big ideas and revolutionary thinking causes an uproar when he speaks his mind and enthralls fellow teens. Once fellow misfit Nora  discovers Hard Harry’s true identity, much to Mark’s dismay, and the two of them become torchbearers against the stifling status quo of the town as they dodge the police, the school administration, and the FCC.
