I must say it has been a minute since we’ve been reunited with CYP2 All-Stars, Trash Talk. They’ve had a busy year traveling the world and generally getting amongst it. Great news though. The squad is back from Australia and ready to represent Check Yo Ponytail for their third year in a row at SXSW. Expect no mercy.

I don’t know if it’s the combination of the sun, BBQ, and vodka Red Bull / Lone Star combos that particularly rile everyone up, but Trash Talk always know how to take advantage of it and in my eyes are the torch bearers of the APW turn up. Last year we had a chance to interview Lee after their set at SUPER PARTY where he talks about the overall vibe of Austin Party Weekend and mixed genre showcases are good for the kids. Also featured, Trash Talk flipping the audience on its head.

Before taking off on tour with Dillinger Escape Plan, Trash Talk will perform Saturday at the Check Yo Ponytail Day Party during this year’s Austin Party Weekend.
