Yesterday, Los Angeles based electro-pop group Carousel released the latest music video Another Day off their new album Palms. The Berklee music grads recently transplanted to Los Angeles to continue making music and self-produced the new album over six weeks in Palm Desert, California. The new album pays homage the 80’s synth while incorporating new age pop to create the Summer nostalgia we can all identify with heading into winter.

An 80’s pool party backdrops Another Day and features a Tom Cruise look-a-like trying to make his way to the bikini babes poolside. Stealing his lady love, they escape to the sea before mustached men kidnap his maiden and carry her away to a carousel. Showing up in heroic fashion, carbon copy Cruise charms her back with a searing guitar solo before walking hand in hand into the sunset. A great throwback video, Another Day entertains with classic 80’s characters and cliche romance lacking only the iconic freeze frame finish. Tuesday, November 5th Carousel will be performing live at the Echo in support of Teen Daze and Camp Counselors.
