When Washington D.C. post punkers Dismemberment Plan reunited in 2011 for a tour of the U.S. and Japan they were anxious to perform live but when asked about a new record they stated, “We’re not planning a new record. But we’re doing these shows and taking it day to day after that.” Well the day to day seems to have led them back to the studio. D-Plan recently released a new single Daddy Was A Real Good Dancer from their upcoming album Uncanney Valley available October 15th on Partisan Records.
The new Dismemberment Plan single Daddy Was A Real Good Dancer tells a story of a footloose father who relinquishes his skills after the birth of his son. This indie rock ballad serves as a great representation of how The Plan has grown and molded their sound to include past experiences and new revelations. Stream the new track below and pick up Uncanney Valley and see them live here in Los Angeles December 12th at the Fonda Theater with Telekinesis!
