There are few things in this cold, dead world that rev me up like a perverted truck driver – sexually, I mean. Eating a bag of Hot Funyuns is one. Marvin Gaye records (on vinyl) is another. Certain enormous biceps (I’m a woman with particular pleasures) is one of the best.

One listen to Christian Rich’s new track “Fast Life,” though, and suddenly I’m reaching for my phone to get my booty call on the line. What gives?

It’s like a realistically unattainable cinematic sex scene – Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas in Original Sin style. Awful movie, that one, but very adept at giving you awkward boners. “Fast Life” sounds like that to me.

JMSN is on vocals, delectable and decadent (like a bag of Hot Funyuns — seriously, try them), croons his way through your brain and seduces you out of your shirt. Meanwhile, Christian Rich‘s production in the background is sleek, throbbing, and rock-hard — God, I’m so single. But that’s all right. Just when you think you’re peaking in body temperature, the song breaks down into a flurry of orchestral beats. It’s a mini-samba to get your mind out of the gutter, throwing figurative cold water on your face. Put your shirt back on, put the phone down. It’s not worth it.

Christian Rich, a twin-brother duo, have been producing and collaborating with a ton of well-known hip hop artists including N.E.R.D., Lupe Fiasco, Chris Brown, and Earl Sweatshirt.
