Since their inception in 2008, the U.K. five piece, Foals, have been one of the most proficient bands in modern rock. Each member performs effortlessly with quartz-like synchronicity, whether live or on record. Their latest track, My Number, is no exception as it glistens with mathematical accuracy throughout the video’s performance, which in and of itself is a fascinating take on the “bands in video” precedent. Not only is the band portrayed in a cinematic light with careful attention to composition (unlike most music videos that present the band performing in a blank room, green screen, etc…) the video itself unfolds into a perspective daze that may be all too familiar to some of us.
