Heard on dance floors all around the world, Addison Groove is on his way to LA to drop tha BASS this February. Anthony Williams aka Headhunter, who is now producing under the Alias ‘Addison Groove’ is known for his bass music, making his mark in 2010 with the banger, Footcrab (released on Loefah’s Swamp81 label), it took off like a rocket, causing a stir of excitement among the dance music scene. Heavyweights like Aphex Twin, Surgeon, Ricardo Villalobos, and Mr. Scruff couldn’t help but incorporate the track into their DJ sets.
Transistor Rhythm, Addison Groove’s first full-length debut album (released on 50 weapons) is set in the roots of, Footwork while bouncing off rubbery 808 beats, acid baselines, and rave-y synth patches. If that’s not enough, there are also appearances by CYP2 Alumni Spank Rock on the tracks, Bad Things and Beeps. Total bangers.
Tell all your friends, especially the big booty-ed ones, Addison Groove will be playing OFF/CNTR on Saturday Feburary 2nd, joining Addison Groove will be Jimmy Edgar, Grenier & DJ Sodapop at Los Globos. The event is 21+ so lets keep the kiddies at home, this is sure to be a fun night!
