Dance music culture overloads Insomniac just did a rad interview with IHC founder Franki Chan about the night he, and the rest of non-Beverly Hills Los Angeles fell in love with EDM.
In it, Franki details a particular Halloween 2006 show in which he booked Justice to play their first-ever US show. The night marked a distinct shift in LA’s underground club culture, and afterwards … nothing was the same.
Not like Drake “Nothing Was the Same” … We’re talking about radical cultural shift and a much-needed stain on the musical sensibilities of mid-2000’s emo kids and die-hard punk and rap enthusiasts.
