Today, New York provacative emcee LE1F released his latest music video Hush Bb from his recent Tree House Mixtape. The production, produced by MOCA Los Angeles and directed by Alex Da Corte, is a mystic and seductive journey into LE1F’s sordid psyche. The collaboration inspired a very specific aesthetic synthesizing the dark tones of Corte and the sexuality of LE1F for a glamourous and intriguing 360 evolution.
LE1F recalls, “When I met Alex da Corte through our mutual friend Spank Rock, we immediately bonded over metallic Axe body washes and colored cigarettes, and knew we had to do something together. His work is so major—he’s the Claes Oldenburg of our generation.” He notes, “I sent him ‘Hush BB,’ a love song produced by my good friend and frequent collaborator, Boody. His initial reaction was that it was spooky, whereas I meant it to be sexy. For the video, we met somewhere halfway, creating a somewhat cold but still very erotic dreamworld.” Watch the video below and don’t miss Le1f tomorrow night for the L.A. show of the Tree House Tour with Antwon“>Antwon, Lakutis, Mess Kid, and Shadowrunners at Los Globos!
