Bronx raised R&B mega babe Maxine Ashley just released a video for her latest track Perpetual Nights, produced by her mentor Pharrell Williams. Venturing back to a more classic take on the R&B sound, Williams uses a warm grand piano and a raw live kit resulting in the perfect platform for Maxine’s infections vocals.
The video, directed by the super talented LA-based Tragik is absolutely stunning as well. According to Vogue.com who handled the official debut, it “features clips of Jean Seberg and Jean-Paul Belmondo from Godard’s 1960 classic Breathless projected across studio shots of singer Ashley, while producer Williams appears in his renowned Vivienne Westwood mounty hat“. The result is well… breathless.
