There are very few perfect things that you can identify as an entity. Perfection lies more in happenstance and is more random and chaotic than people give credit. Look at the Hope Diamond, said to be the world’s most rare and valuable diamond given to it’s connection to royalty; and blue color which occurs in a very small percentage of diamonds ever discovered due to the necessity for the right conditions during formation.

I must express that your latest video for Love Letters reminds me of this rarity. The right conditions were met and the result is stunning. While I’m Aquarius was a realization of self and past, Love Letters offers me a kind solace that I so graciously accept. You have my heart.

I’ve been entranced by its play on perspective through a delightful and complex set design. Not only does it functionally enable the magic of the concept to come alive, but also provides the perfect stage for each of your charming personalities to come through the fold, both band and director alike. I could not have thought of a better way to celebrate this holiday than being vibrantly swept away by this playful and genuine performance. Like the Hope Diamond, it is your character that adds a little color to an otherwise bleak and dreary winter.

It has been awhile now since our time spent on the English Riviera. While our memories of the bay will always be cherished, I wait with anticipation for March 10th, when you will once again inspire my dreams, my obsession, and soundtrack the moments until one day we can be together again.
