A few weeks ago, people the world over celebrated their love for independent record stores by heading out to their favorite brick and mortar shop for the sixth annual Record Store Day celebration. Independent record stores are a dying breed, but the resurgence in vinyl interest over the past few years has kept these shops going. Celebrated annually on the 3rd weekend in April, Record Store Day partners up with artists to create one of a kind releases meant to be sold exclusively at independent record stores around the world. As an added bonus, many of the artists make special appearances in stores to help raise awareness, and browse through selections as well.
This year, our good friends at Mount Analog hosted a very special impromptu performance from Fred Armisen. Armed with guitar in hand, Fred Armisen took a break from browsing to perform a few classic covers ranging from The Stranglers to The Clash. Special thank you to Fred Armisen and everyone at Mount Analog for another great Record Store Day experience!
