Last week, we introduced the new documentary series from Nokia Music called, New American Noise. The series was created in partnership with the Sundance Channel and focuses on the flourishing underground music scene in six cities across the country. In this latest episode, we get a look at the avant hip hop scene from none other than the birthplace of the genre itself, Brooklyn. Take a look as Kirk Knight, C.J. Fly, Angel Haze, Mykki Blanco, and The Underachievers connect us to the beat of the city in Emily Kai Bock’s, Spit Gold Under An Empire.
Don’t forget, Mykki Blanco will be joining us in Los Angeles on March 7th at Los Globos performing with Brooke Candy, Ratchet Set, and DJ Automaton.
