Today, Odd Future premiered BELONG, a short film by Lije Sarki and Nutbucket Films, on their Youtube that was completely scored by OFWGKTA’s Left Brain. The film documents the struggles of a young teenage skateboarder bullied by some no good thugs on the dog eat dog streets of L.A. A prodigious skateboarder, he finds his own way to battle back. He doesn’t engage or fight, but rises above the violence and stays true to what he knows, skateboarding. His talent is soon noticed by a group of gawking girls who quickly make nice. Joined by his fellow boarder friends, they shred the DIY street course while an envious bully looks on. It’s very clear who the winner is in this tale of the triumph. Left Brain has masterfully composed the eight minute soundtrack that sets the tone of the film, as essential to the story as the actors on screen.
