It takes time and experience for an artist to truly come into their own and create the sounds that define them. Oslo based producer Magnus August Høiberg, aka Cashmere Cat, used to work undercover producing house and disco for labels such as Kitsuné, True Panther and Ninja Tune. A lover of R&B and hip hop at his core, Høiberg uploaded bootleg remixes Jeremih and 2 Chainz, that caught the attention of the music world and led to an official remix for Lana Del Rey. Garnering the support from international DJs Diplo, A-Trak, Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Brodinski, and Baauer to name a few the Cat was ready to play!
A clear talent, Cashmere Cat was soon approached by Paris Social Club residents Pelican Fly Records, releasing his debut EP Mirror Maru in October 2012. Just over a year into the project, the future looks bright as Cat lovers everywhere are spreading the wealth of his sexy slow jams. Embracing his true passion, has led to the creation of stirring remixes and moving masterpieces that hit home with audiences across the world. His single Mirror Maru implores instrumental eloquence that strikes heart strings on a deep and devoted level.
This weekend, the Norwegian makes his way to L.A. for IHC Sundays biggest bill to date. Cashmere Cat is a rising talent you can’t afford to miss so make sure you RSVP for the show for free entry before 11pm or eliminate the risk of not getting in and purchase your pre-sale tickets below.
