Friday night, Check Yo Ponytail kicked off 2014 in style with incredible performances from Superhumanoids, James Supercave, and Dead Times. IHC resident DJ, $U$PECT, took to the decks as the crowd filtered into the depths the Echoplex for the highly anticipated show. It wasn’t long before Dead Times appeared through the smoke and delivered their new wave electronic R&B to a grooving and receptive audience. Next up, James Supercave delivered psychedelic slow jams with fluency to a now packed house. After a short intermission, Superhumanoids started their set and didn’t skip a beat. Their set was beautiful as they performed for the home crowd. We were also privy to a couple of new songs they’d been working on giving us a taste of what’s to come.
