In this new age of remixes setting yourself apart is essential to moving up in the ranks of the plethora of producers. London’s Mighty Mouse has moved up fast considering the short amount of time he’s been in the dance scene. Although it’s hard to pigeon hole him to one specific genre as his wealth of work fuses multiple decades of music seamlessly, disco is certainly his strong suit. His remix of City Reverb’s Time Side On, became an immediate hit for Aeroplane after featuring it on their essential mix for Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. This was the beginning of whole host of remixes that launched his career including remixes for the likes of Gorillaz, Robbie Williams, Fenech Soler, Shy Child, Shades of Rhythm, Madonna, Gill Scott Heron, Prince, Kate Bush and his now infamous re work of ABBA, named Midnight Mouse.
His latest release Feel Alright is a creation all his own in celebration of the launch of his new label Night Film. The label held it’s official launch at The Nest in London in July and rosters his other collaborative project Du Tonc as well as collaborator Matt Van Schie. The disco infusion or “nu-disco” in his remixes is the prized element thats become a quite the commodity elevating classic tracks into dynamite dance hits. The new track Feel Alright is available for free download so swoop it up to add to your essentials.
With the video element becoming increasingly important for musicians and DJs as an alternate source of exposure and income, creating something representative of your sound is the creative key and Mighty Mouse is on his way.
