We are so proud to finally release the first official poster and trailer for Skate Kitchen. The film premiered at Sundance Film Festival this year to critical acclaim and stars Jaden Smith and real life all-girl, New York City-based skateboarding crew called the Skate Kitchen. The film follows introverted teenage skateboarder Camille (Rachelle Vinberg) for a summer as she befriends the Skate Kitchen girls. Things get complicated when she has a falling out with her mother and falls for the wrong guy. Directed by The Wolfpack director Crystal Moselle, the film hypnotizes you with its incredibly dreamy cinematography and its portrayal of the sense of freedom Summer can bring you. Utilizing our background in creative marketing, youth culture and brand partnerships, IHC has been working with Director Crystal Moselle and Magnolia pictures for the past few months to sculpt a bold and inventive campaign to bring Skate Kitchen to the masses.

Since Sundance, the film has been making a splash at Seattle International Film Festival, Sundance London, Oak Cliff Film Festival, Frameline Fest, and BAM Cinema Fest. Skate Kitchen will be screening at a few more film festivals leading up to the release. As you might remember, IHEARTCOMIX kicked off the year by bringing Sundance Film Festival their very first SKATE JAM to celebrate the world premiere of The Skate Kitchen film. We also threw an extremely intimate after party for the movie with performances by Diplo, Kitty Cash & Usher. IHC coordinated both events and supplied brand partnerships from Skullcandy and DIRECTV.
