Drake “Back 2 Back (Meth Dad Remix)

My dad was more of a cognac and silence guy but that was before meth was cool in Arizona. Regardless, I’d still really like for Meth Dad to dole out inebriated advice to me then periodically ignore me so I develop the kind of emotion-blocking force field you need to survive the internet. Happy Father’s day.

Porches “Be Apart”

Porches told FADER that “Be Apart” is about finding your groove in New York City. Apparently, all you have to do to fit in with the slick NYC cats is to join an American Apparel dooms day cult. Ain’t nobody fucking with my clique clique clique clique clique clique.

TEEN “Tokyo”

I am such a sucker for lusty, driving big synths and this song has them. Also, I found out this song has a “swaying 6/8 waltz groove” which makes me proud to be an American. Bold. Sassy. Brassy. Do me.

Stooki Sound “Stage Dive”

Last time I did a stage dive my breats flew through the air in a moment of zero gravity and it was revolutionary. This trappy-rappy new song from our old friends Stooki Sound makes me want to do it again.

Arca “Urchin”

Unsure if “Urchin” is an afterthought to his very acclaimed 2015 album “Mutant” or an entity all its own, but either way it sounds like decapitation. And I mean that as a compliment? Cacaphonous samples and seething, dead-eyed synths go hand in hand with horror music piano, and it makes me want to stare at myself in a cracked mirror under flickering lights for blood sport. Who am I? Who am I becoming? Can anyone bring me a sandwich?
