It’s been almost 10 years since Bane has released a new album and recently they announced some bitter sweet news that their new album Don’t Wait Up will be their last. The Worcester, Massachusetts hardcore ensemble are known for their intense live shows where moshing and the occasional elbow to the face are common place. While some may be saddened by the news of a last album, there’s also growing anticipation over their final tour which will include North America, Canada, and several dates in Europe. Today they premiered their second single from the new album All The Way Through on Noisey that will boil your blood with sick guitar shredding and rebelious, but inspiring lyrics!
All The Way Through doesn’t stray too far from Bane’s previous collection however there is a sense that the songs from the new album will be a well recieved send off for such a legendary hardcore band. Frontman, Aaron Bedard spoke to Noisey about the band calling it quits after such an epic career.
He explains, “Because we are fucking old and keep getting older. This is a young man’s game and it’s time to walk away before we really REALLY start to embarrass ourselves.”
Speaking on the final album Bedard imparts, “I have to get ready to say goodbye to the thing that I loved most about my life. The best thing that’s ever come around is about to end after a really long ride. It’s hard to reconcile that but on ‘Don’t Wait Up,’ you will see a guy really trying to.”
It’ll be tough for us all, so no need to hold back anything now. Stream the new single below and see Bane on tour in Los Angeles on June 5th with Turnstile, Take Offence, and Soul Search!
